Connections has been improving the lives of youth and families since 1981. Originally founded to provide shelter for at-risk and homeless youth in Comal County who had nowhere else to turn, the organization has expanded over the years to include comprehensive services for youth and families across more than a dozen south-central Texas counties.
As a board member at Connections, I'm proud to support an organization that provides critical services to at-risk and homeless youth in our community. Connections offers emergency youth shelter, transitional living programs, counseling services, and substance misuse prevention education - all essential services that help strengthen our communities one youth and one family at a time.
My role on the board allows me to contribute my entrepreneurial experience and community-building expertise to help guide the organization's strategic direction. I'm particularly passionate about supporting initiatives that empower young people and provide them with the resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
Connections serves youth aged 5-17 through their emergency shelter program, older youth preparing to age out of foster care through their transitional living program, and provides no-cost counseling services for children 6-17. Their prevention programs reach school-aged youth across multiple counties, promoting healthy environments and behaviors.
Being part of this mission aligns with my commitment to building stronger communities through meaningful initiatives and supporting the next generation of leaders in our region.
I'm passionate about giving back to the community through board service and other initiatives. Let's connect and discuss how we can work together to strengthen our communities.
